I am a graphic and type designer, specialized in anything about type – for printed and digital media.
Inspired by the topic of recursion, I developed an interactive greeting card for 2020 with (almost) an infinite repetition of the layout. A variable font reacts to the container width and mouse/touch input.
“Simplified with personality”, that’s the new look of publishing house Galledia. I contributed the custom typeface which reduces each glyph to its essence while being cleary legible.
Behind each label of this exquisite Grappa stands a special moment or feeling – captured in a picture which has then been transformed into an abstract colour palette.
From august 31 until september 7, I’ll be giving a 2.5-days workshop in Type Design at Zurich University of the Arts. Attendants will experiment with writing tools and then sketch and digitize their individual designs.

Text always consists of two layers: the content and the visual aspect. I draw letterings for printed, interactive or animated use which add the right expression to your text.
I also design and refine custom logotypes.
Typography is the most powerful graphic element to shape a visual design. Defining the right style, width and functionality, a big part of the task is solved and can make the design stand out.
Besides my own typefaces, I develop custom fonts for identities and publications.
I like to develop products which are actually in physical contact with the end customer. Such as packaging designs, magazines or books for example. I seek to define the right story, design, material and finishing for your product – for projects of any size.
